About Gianna

Gianna Alessi is an alt-R&B artist known for her honeyed vocals and soul-rooted melodies. A New York native raised in a classical household, she began songwriting at Boston Conservatory at Berklee and traces her earliest voice lessons to her grandmother, a former Metropolitan Opera soprano. Blending R&B, neo-soul, hints of jazz, and pop, her music pairs expansive, atmospheric vocals with warm instrumentation and an undeniable groove.

She has performed coast to coast, packing venues from New York to Los Angeles, and has been featured by Mondo NYC, We Found New Music, Sofar Sounds, and Tiny Nook Concerts. Gianna has also held residencies at staple venues like Groove in Manhattan’s West Village.

Now ushering in a new chapter with her upcoming soul-forward EP Soft n’ Lush, she recently debuted the first single, “Soft,” which sets the tone for the project’s lush, introspective sound.

In addition to her artist work, Gianna teaches voice and records as a session vocalist in LA.
